On March 28, 2007, Mr. Peter Eisenman, the world famous architect, visited Birdair headquarters in Buffalo, NY. Mr. Eisenman is the architect who worked on the NFL Arizona Cardinals' stadium (University of Phoenix Stadium), a project on which Birdair installed the membrane roof.
The primary objective of Mr. Eiseman’s visit to Buffalo was to give a lecture, as the Birdair lecturer, at the NY State University at Buffalo (UB). He visited Birdair’s office before his evening lecture at the University, where all the Birdair employees gathered and welcomed him. During his visit, Mr. Komatsu, president of Birdair, presented Mr. Eisenman with a statue of a buffalo on behalf of all the Birdair employees. In return, Mr. Eisenman, with widespread smile, made a speech to the surrounding employees. He praised Birdair for its achievements, shared his enthusiasm for membrane structures, and his expectations for collaborative work with Birdair in the future.
Promoting a closer relationship with Mr. Eisenman, an architect of excellence, has brought about more business opportunities, and led Birdair to the continuingly busy but certainly rewarding path.
