Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium, located in Taoyuan Country, Taiwan, was completed in September 2009, and opened to the public on December 13, 2009. The stadium was completed as the first international standard baseball field in northern Taiwan. Taiyo Kogyo Corporation Taipei Branch participated in the fabrication and construction of the membrane roof.

The city of Taoyuan is planned to host the 2012 World University Baseball Championship, and the stadium will be a major venue for the event. The World University Baseball Championships which began in 2002, is a college baseball competition sponsored by the International University Sports Federation.
Vice Premier Eric Li-luan Chu stated that he hopes the county's achievements in promoting the international baseball stadium will serve as an important benchmark in promoting the sport of baseball and relevant facilities. Hosting the World University Baseball Championships will be a big step towards internationalization for the county.
Qingpu Sports Park which has a total area of approximately 9.7 hectares, is a sports complex aimed to support sporting facilities within Taoyuan County. The baseball stadium's main building is approximately 4 hectares; 1 story below ground and 3 stories high, with a seating capacity of 12,000 seats. Themed restaurants, VIP clubs, baseball museums and offices are included in the main building. In addition to the main stadium, there are a softball practice fields, 8 basketball courts, 2 tennis courts, 2 skating rinks, and a park for parent's and children.
From this year, the Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium has been the home stadium to the Lamigo Monkeys, a professional baseball team of the Chinese Professional Baseball League. With the World University Baseball Championships approaching, the stadium and the adjoining park is set to see more visitors.

The baseball game is one of the most popular sports in Taiwan. We are grateful to have completed a mission with everyone's effort. At the beginning we had many difficulties and setbacks. As we faced the final target, we were able to solve these problems and achieve the ultimate goal.
