MakMax Australia has been awarded the contract for the New Perth Stadium in Perth, Western Australia. The distinctive roof design structure that incorporates a lightweight material located to the underside of trusses and cantilever towards the center of the bowl, provides a clean soffit to the roof plane.  This arrangement, gives the appearance of the roof ‘floating’ above the façade and seating bowl which with the light reflective qualities of the roof material, when artificially lit at night time, is suggestive of a “halo”.  The roof will provide coverage to 85% of seats within the Stadium.  The multi-purpose stadium, which will hold 60 thousand people, will be capable of hosting sports games such as Australian Football, rugby, cricket, and soccer.

The New Perth Stadium is planned to be completed by the end of 2017, in time for the Australian Football season of 2018.
