MakMax Australia was contracted for the engineering, fabrication and construction of the roofing for the Queensland State Velodrome in Brisbane, Australia. The indoor cycling venue was completed in late 2016 for the Commonwealth Games 2018 and named the Anna Meares Velodrome upon completion. Designed by COX architecture and constructed by WATPAC, MakMax Australia worked to provide PTFE material roofing for the saddle shaped roof and also the tessellated shaped walls. The membrane roof and facade provides cover to the 250 meter timber cycling track.
